Cairo Governor received Cuban Ambassador

Cairo. In the morning of Monday, Cairo Governor, H.E. Mr. Ing. Atef Abdel Hamid, received at the headquarters of the Government, the Cuban Ambassador Laureano Rodríguez Castro.
 
The representative of the greater of the Antilles, thanked the Gobernor and expressed their wishes of work by develop and strengthen relations between Cuba and Egypt in all spheres of mutual interest.

Cuban movie inaugurates Spain & Latinamerica Film Festival in Palmerston North

Palmerston North, 10 October 2016. - The screening of "The film of Ana" marked the inauguration of the 15th Latin America & Spain Film Festival (LAASFF) in this city at the Manawatu-Wanganui region. 

The event became a day filled with traditional elements of Cuban culture, which began with the charm and amuse of Caribbean music and dance rhythms, under the leadership of Rafael Ferrer Noel and his Cuban Fusion project. Young Cubans enrolled at Massey University where in charge of delighting the audience with authentic Creole nibbles.

Solidarity with Cuba strengthens in north-western Jamaica

MONTEGO BAY, JAMAICA, October 8, 2016.Second Secretary in charge of consular affairs at the Embassy of Cuba in Kingston, Rigoberto Zarza Ross, held a fruitful meeting with the members of the Friendship Association Jamaica-Cuba, chapter Montego Bay, during which the attendees paid homage to the key dates of October, in particular, the demise of Ernesto Che Guevara.

Barbadian artists in a solidarity concert to close the “Journey from Terror to Life and Love".

Several Barbadian artists, in a combination of established professionals and young talents, staged an excellent free concert to close the program of activities commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Barbados Crime, held in Bridgetown on October 2-8. Thus they made the farewell to international delegates from Cuba, USA, Antigua and Barbuda, Guyana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago.

Prime Minister of Jamaica demands the end of blockade against Cuba

KINGSTON, JAMAICA, October 7th 2016. Prime Minister of Jamaica, the Most Honourable Andrew J. Holness demanded the end of blockade the United States imposes against cuba, during his address to the 71st period of sessions of the United Nations General ASsembly, in New York. 

“Jamaica realizes that the continuation of the economic embargo against our sister Caribbean country, Cuba, is out of step with recent actions to re-establish diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States.  We therefore call for its early lifting”, stated the Prime Minister.

Highlighted in Dominica effect of the US blockade against Cuba and decision of the people and the Cuban government to continue fighting against this genocidal policy.

Dominica, Roseau, 7 October 2016. Cuba's ambassador in the Commonwealth of Dominica, Juan Carlos Frómeta, highlighted the validity of the US blockade against Cuba despite the restoration of diplomatic relations last year. In statements given to the local radio station DBS, the Cuban diplomatic stressed that there can be no normalization of bilateral relations as economic, commercial and financial blockade is lifted, not the territory now occupied by the illegal naval base in Guantanamo be returned without ceasing subversive programs and radio broadcasts against Cuba.
