Declaration of the 15th Meeting of the ALBA-TCP Political Council on Nicaragua

We the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance of Latin America – People’s Trade Treaty, at the 15th meeting of its Political Council in Havana:

Denounce and condemn the readiness of a group of US members of Congress known for their reactionary, disrespectful and interfering positions, to reintroduce in that country’s Congress the draft for what is known as NICA-ACT.

Declaration on solidarity with the Caribbean

We the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance of the Americas – People Trade Treay, at the 15th meeting of its Political Council in Havana: 

Recognize the need to face together the challenges in order to achieve sustainable development, including our vulnerabilities as Caribbean countries and in particular as Small Island Developing States and countries in low lying coastal zones, especially in the economic and environmental areas, and to build more just and equitable societies;

The President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with Peoples (ICAP) responded to the message of congratulations that Mr. Renwick Rose, President of the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines-Cuba Friendship Association, sent him in recent days.

UN Special Rapporteur Begins Official Visit to Cuba

The Special Rapporteur of the United Nations (UN) on the human rights of Human Trafficking victims, especially women and children, Maria Grazia Giammarinaro, will begin today an official visit to Cuba.

According to the Foreign Ministry of this nation, Giammarinaro will meet in the Cuban capital and carry out other activities that will allow her to confirm Cuba's commitment to the fulfillment of its international obligations in relation to human trafficking.

Cuban FM calls for unity against threats to the region

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez called for unity and solidarity in the face of the rapid development of recent events in the region and threats to peace in Latin America and the Caribbean.

At the inauguration of the XV Political Council of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Treaty of Peoples' Trade (ALBA-TCP), which began in the Cubanacan protocol hall of this capital, Rodriguez stressed the urgency of addressing what is happening in the area, particularly the recent bullying actions against Venezuela.

ALBA Countries Meet in Havana

Havana, Apr 10 (Prensa Latina) The Political Council of the Bolivarian Alliance for the People of Our America-Trade Treaty of the People (ALBA-TCP, in Spanish) is holding in Havana Monday its 15th ordinary session as a follow up of the body''s 15th Summit held in Caracas, Venezuela, in March.
 
The meeting will reportedly help reinforce unity among the member States, its capacity of regional compromise and the Latin American integration process.
