The distinguished Journalist and community Activist Renwick Rose, President of the Association of Friendship Saint Vincent and the Grenadines/Cuba, congratulated the Cuban Hero, Fernando González LLort, on the occasion of his appointment as President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).

The Ambassador of Cuba, Pedro L. Despaigne González, during a cultural activity carried out in the residence of the Ambassador of France, held a pleasant conversation with Ms. Catherine Abelema Afeku, minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Ghana, as well as member of the Parliament.

The Minister was pleased with the meeting, keeping the bilateral relations in the field that she has the authority to be strengthened during her tenure.  

April 5th,  H.E. Mrs Zelmys María Domiguez Cortina gave the Credential Letters that accrediting her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to H.E. Prokopios Pavlopoulos, President of the Hellenic Republic. During the meeting,  it was reaffirmed the will of both parts to continue developing the bilateral relations between the two countries and the historical and excellent relations of friendship that exist between the Cuban and the Greek peoples.

The Ambassador of Cuba, Pedro L. Despaigne González held a cordial conversation with Mr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, who has been in the last two general elections the Progressive People´s Party's presidential candidate (PPP). The meeting took place during a cultural activity carried out in the residence of the Ambassador of France to Ghana. 

Mr. Paa Kwesi Nduom recalled his trip to Cuba – according to his words in 2004 - and the sites of interest he had the opportunity to visit. He also said the possibility to make another visit to Cuba in the medium term.

Cuban health professionals are treating displaced persons in camps located in high altitude areas near Piura, 50 kilometres north of Lima.

The first meeting of the Executive Committee of the Lao-Cuba Friendship Association was organized today in Vientiane and led by the President of the Association, Professor Chaleune Yiapaoher, Minister of the Office of the Prime Minister, Member of the Central Committee of the PRPL.

The Minister of Education and Sports of Lao People's Democratic Republic, Mrs. Sengdeuane Lachanthaboune, accompanied by members of the Executive staff of her Ministry, received this afternoon the Ambassador of Cuba, Pablo A. Rodríguez Vidal.

At the meeting, they ultimate details for signing, in the near future, of two agreements in the fields of education and sports with the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education and the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER), respectively.

Ottawa, April 3, 2017.-Cuba's Ambassador to Canada Julio Garmendía Peña attended the reception hosted last March 28 on the occasion of the inauguration of the national office of the Marxist-Leninist Party of Canada in Ottawa.

NEW YORK, April 4, 2017.- During the 50th session of the UN Commission on Population and Development, the Director of Population at Cuba’s National Statistics and Information Office (ONEI), Juan Carlos Alfonso Fraga, proved today that Cuba is a demographically developed country with indicators that stand for its very advanced demographic transition.

Chanting the theme song of the campaign for the 55th anniversary of UJC "Gallo de Pelea", performed by the musical groups Moncada, Buena Fe and Casabe, the small staff of the Embassy of Cuba in Tehran began the activity to celebrate the 56th and 55th anniversaries of Jose Marti Pioneers Organization (OPJM) and Young Communist League (UJC), respectively.
