Cuban Ambassador exchanges with President of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO) in Oslo
Oslo, March 2, 2022. The ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, received Ingunn Gjerstad, president of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO) in Oslo.
During the meeting, they reviewed the relations of friendship and cooperation existing between the LO branch in Oslo and the CTC in Havana.
The Norwegian trade union leader expressed interest in resuming exchanges with Havana counterpart, for which they have already identified some actions to be carried out this year.
The Ambassador thanked Ingunn Gjerstad for her visit and assured her full support.
Cuba and Norway review their multilateral agenda
Oslo, March 2, 2022- In a cordial meeting, the general director of Multilateral Cooperation of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Merete Fjeld Brattested, and the Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, acknowledged the existing cooperation between both countries in the multilateral sphere.
Friendship Association with Cuba in Norway honors Terje Enger
Oslo, February 24, 2022. The Annual Meeting of the Norway-Cuba Friendship Association ended with the presentation of the book “Norwegian Sailors in Cuba. Stories about Norwegian shipping in Latin America over 150 years”, by its author, Terje Enger. In this way, a special tribute was paid to one of the most relevant figures in the history of the Association, highly respected and admired by all.

The Association of Friendship with Cuba in Norway held its Annual Meeting, which was an opportunity to review the work carried out in the last year and propose and approve the objectives and guidelines for the next period, in order to improve the Organization´s internal functioning and performance.
Ambassador extends birthday congratulations to Norway´s King Harald V
Oslo, February 21st, 2022. On the occasion of the 85th birthday of His Majesty the King Harald V of Norway, the Ambassador Maité Rivero Torres had the honor to visit the Royal Palace to convey sincere congratulations on behalf of the Cuban Government and people, and on her own behalf.
