Cuban Ambassador congratulates the Prime Minister of Norway

Oslo, May 17, 2022. In one of the activities organized to celebrate the National Day of the Kingdom of Norway today, the ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, had the opportunity to briefly exchange with the Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Støre.

The Cuban diplomat said to the Prime Minister that it was a great honor for her to greet him on such a significant date. She took the opportunity to convey cordial congratulations and best wishes to the Norwegian Government and people. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)

Cuba present in the celebrations for the National Day of the Kingdom of Norway

Oslo, May 17, 2022. The Ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, took part in the different activities that, throughout the day, took place on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Norway (Constitution Day).

Early in the morning, the Cuban diplomat went to the Royal Palace, where she signed a message in which she conveyed sincere congratulations to His Majesty the King and the royal family, as well as the Norwegian Government and people, on the occasion of such a significant date.

The Ambassador visits the Parliament of Norway (Storting)

Oslo, May 12, 2022. The ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, attended a reception offered by the Presidium of the Norwegian Parliament (Storting) in honor of the accredited Diplomatic Corps.

Upon her arrival, the Ambassador had the opportunity to greet the president of the Storting, Masud Gharahkhani, as well as the five vice-presidents: Svein Harberg, Nils T. Bjørke, Morten Wold, Kari Henriksen and Ingrid Fiskaa.

Ambassador reviews relations in the field of aquaculture with the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD)

Oslo, May 4, 2022. The ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, paid another visit to the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD), this time to hold a meeting with Jorun Nossum and Guro Glavin, deputy director and specialist, respectively, of the Oceans Section of the Department of Climate and Environment.

In a cordial atmosphere, they exchanged on the successive projects of cooperation that, sponsored by NORAD, have promoted for several years the development of a sustainable marine aquaculture in Cuba.

Norwegian friends and Cuban residents show solidarity and support for the Cuban Revolution

Oslo, May 1, 2022. During the parade that took place in this city for the International Workers' Day, Cuban living in Norway and Norwegian friends responded positively to the call and enthusiastically joined the block organized and led by the Friendship Association Norway-Cuba to show solidarity and support for the Cuban Revolution.

Carrying a huge poster and Cuban flags, and also exclaiming slogans, together they demanded that the US end the blockade against Cuba and return the territory illegally occupied by the Guantanamo Naval Base. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)

Consular Services

IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

The Electronic Visa System will allow us to offer a more efficient service, facilitating and streamlining the visa application process. If you wish to travel to Cuba for tourism purposes, please note the following steps:

1. All consular fees must be paid to our Bank Account No. 7058.05.79556 DNB prior to requesting the corresponding service. Cash payments are NOT accepted.

2. Make the payment 72 hours in advance of the service.

3. The Consulate will only issue visas/appointments for services once the bank has confirmed the transfer.

4. The bank transfer must include the name of the person for whom the consular service is being provided, or the traveler if it is a tourist visa, whether an adult or a minor. The account holder's name is NOT required. Scan the payment receipt with the application.

5. To obtain tourist visas, please visit the platform https://evisacuba.cu/en/inicio

6. Visas will be issued to the email address provided by the applicant, in the form of an alphanumeric code, once the application is approved. This code will be activated when the user accesses the platform: https://dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu/inicio

7. Each applicant for an electronic visa is responsible for possessing a valid passport with a minimum validity of six months and ensuring their personal information is accurate. The Consulate is not responsible for errors made in these cases, nor can it make the necessary adjustments.

8. No more than 7 days prior to the flight to Cuba, the traveler must complete the form available at this link: https://dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu/inicio. After completing the form, the traveler will receive a QR code, which must be presented in digital or printed format to the airline representative at the departure airport and also to Cuban authorities upon arrival. This is mandatory.

9. Once the fees for consular services have been deposited into the Embassy's bank account, you have a maximum of 6 months to contact or appear in person at the Consular Office by appointment to receive the service and/or request a refund of any remaining balance.

10. For other visas, the application form must be completed.
