Support for the Cuban Revolution in Norway

Oslo, Norway.- Members of the Friendship Association Cubaforeningen i Norge, gathered in front of the Cuban embassy to express their support for the Revolution and their rejection of the US interventionist policy.

Cihan Karakoc, president of the Association, recalled Washington's responsibility and in particular the policy of economic, commercial and financial blockade, which has lasted for more than 60 years, in the economic difficulties facing the island.

Remembrance of the bicentennial of the Battle of Carabobo with Venezuelan colleagues

Oslo, Norway.- In a solemn event carried out by the statue of El Libertador Simon Bolivar, at the embassy of Venezuela, took place a commemoration of the bicentennial of the Battle of Carabobo.

The Venezuelan ambassador to Norway, Orlando Ortegano, highlighted the importance of this battle, in the context of the subsequent independence of his country.

The event was attended by friends from Cuba and Venezuela, who have shown great activism in the defense of the socialist processes in both countries.

Members of the Norwegian Communist Party condemn the US blockade

Oslo, Norway .- Militants of the Communist Party of Norway (NKP by its acronym in the local language), condemned once again the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba for more than 60 years. 

The demonstrations of support for the Caribbean island took place during a seminar held by its members in the city of Kristiansand. The call comes in the context of the resolution that will be voted again this June 23 in the United Nations General Assembly, condemning the economic siege against Cuba.
