Monrovia, June 17, 2020 - The Liberia-Cuba solidarity group once again condemned the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba and rejected the US measures against seven companies on the Caribbean island that were included on the State Department's "List of Restricted Cuban Entities".
Namibia, May 29th, 2020- H. E. Dr. Hage Geingob, President of the Republic of Namibia, offered an extensive interview to a team from the Cuban Television Information System. e Namibian president reviewed the historic ties of brotherhood that unite Namibia and Cuba. President Geingob qualified the US blockade against Cuba as an archaic policy and called for its lifting.
Monrovia, May 26, 2020 - The Liberia-Cuba Friendship Group made public, through an official statement, its support for the international campaign to nominate Cuban Medical Brigade Henry Reeve for the Nobel Peace Prize. In this way, it echoed the diverse voices that in different countries of the world make the request to grant this laurel to the Cuban medical collaborators who distribute solidarity through their health services, and today fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in all continents.
Namibia, May 21st, 2020- The newly appointed Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Hon. Jenelly Matundu, received the Ambassador of Cuba to Namibia, Sidenio Acosta. Both diplomats agreed on the excellent condition of the bilateral relations, which they classified as historical and brotherhood.
Monrovia, May 16, 2020 - The Libera-Cuba Friendship Organization condemns the inclusion of Cuba on the list of countries that do not collaborate against terrorism.
At the same time, they denounce once again the terrorist act committed last April 30th against the Cuban Embassy in Washington DC. They point out that the United States remains silent and that terrorist acts cannot go unpunished.
Namibia, May 15th, 2020- The Cuban ambassador to Namibia, Sidenio Acosta, participated in a television and radio panel on International Solidarity to confront the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting was broadcasted live on the national television and radio station Namibia Broadcasting Corporation (NBC). Mr. Zhang Yiming and Mr. William M. P. Whitehead, ambassadors of China and South Africa to Namibia respectively, also participated with the Cuban representative.
