In the spirit of the Ordinary Jubilee of the Year 2025, the Cuban Government releases persons who are serving prison sentences

Havana, January 14, 2025.- As part of the close and fluid relations with the Vatican, the Government of Cuba has remained in touch with Pope Francis and his representatives and, as has occurred in the past, has kept His Holiness informed about the processes of review of the convictions and the release on imprisoned person, a practice that is common in our judicial system and has characterized the humanitarian record of the Revolution.

US removes Cuba from SSOT list but blockade continues

Havana, January 14, 2025.- Cuba described its exclusion from Washington's State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT) list as a limited decision but in the right direction and in line with the world's demand. According to the statement from the Foreign Ministry, despite this decision, the White House still maintains the unjust and criminal economic blockade against Cuba, which causes suffering to the people.

The ANC calls for the removal of Cuba from the list of terrorist countries.

Cape Town, January 11, 2025 - The President of the African National Congress (ANC), Cyril Ramaphosa, reaffirmed the party's support for Cuba in its struggle against the blockade and imperialist aggressions of the United States, in his speech on the 113th anniversary of the organization. He also demanded Cuba´s removal from the list of countries that sponsor terrorism.

South African Communist Party salutes 66th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution

Pretoria, January 1, 2025 - The South African Communist Party (SACP) has sent a warm message of congratulations to the people and government of Cuba on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution which, under the leadership of Fidel and the Generation of José Martí´s Centennial, overthrew the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista in 1959.
