Minister of Foreign Affairs conveys condolences for the death of Comrade Ricardo Alarcón
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Zimbabwe, Hon. Mr. Frederick Shava, conveyed heartfelt condolences to the Cuban Government and people, on behalf of the Government and people of Zimbabwe, for the physical disappearance of Comrade Ricardo Alarcón de Quesada.
In the message, the Zimbabwean foreign minister highlighted the life and work of the eminent Cuban politician and his dedication to the revolution. He expressed that Alarcón was an example of dedication to the country so his legacy will endure in the history of Cuba.
Cuba should have no doubts that it will receive the support of the world in its fight against the blockade
The Ambassador of Cuba in Zimbabwe, Carmelina Ramírez, was received at the Foreign Ministry by the Director in Chief of Multilateral Affairs, Ambassador Faranisi.
The Zimbabwean representative expressed that Cuba should have no doubts that it will receive the support of the world and of course Zimbabwe in its fight against the blockade. He recognized the serious impact of the blockade and sanctions on the economy of the countries.
New tool made available to users to facilitate visa applications at our consular office
As of February 9, 2022, the Online Visa Application System begins to operate, on the platform http://visasonline.minrex.gob.cu/es. This new tool made available to users offers the possibility of making visa applications to our Consular Office in Zimbabwe through online services.

Director of Europe and the Americas of the Zimbabwean Foreign Ministry receives the Ambassador of Cuba
The Ambassador of Cuba in Harare, Carmelina Ramírez, was received at the Zimbabwean Foreign Ministry by the director of Europe and the Americas, Mr. C. Chinenere. The Cuban Ambassador thanked Zimbabwe for the approval of a Resolution in the African Union against the US blockade.
On the other side, the Zimbabwean representative repudiated the unjust US blockade against Cuba and the sanctions also imposed on Zimbabwe by the West countries, he recognized the damage that they cause to the development of a nation.
The Cuban mission in Zimbabwe has established the Electoral Commission for the popular consultation on the Family Code
Harare, January 25, 2022. This morning, has held the swearing-in ceremony of the Electoral Commission of the Cuban Embassy in Zimbabwe, for the popular consultation on the Family Code. The Commission is integrated by: President, Carmelina Ramírez Rodríguez; Secretary, Yoisy Ford García; and Vocals, Bárbara María Reina Vargas and Yoandry Olay Mayedo.
