Kingston, Jamaica, 1 May, 2020. Cuban diplomats acknowledged today in Jamaica the work of the healthcare personnel in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, and highlighted the efforts of the working class for a better world.

Members of the Cuban state mission in the Jamaican territory recalled the memorable celebration in May 1, 2000, when the historic leader Fidel Castro delivered the concept of Revolution and called for unity, solidarity and altruism.

Kingston, Jamaica, 1 May 2020. As four decades ago, unionist Keith Comrie accompanied Cuba in May 1 parades and today, from his home in Jamaica, ratifies solidarity with the people of the largest island in the Antilles.

An executive member of the Jamaica Confederation of Trade Unions, Comrie regards Cuba as his second home for, in his opinion, love and affection have never been lacking since his first visit in 1980.

Kingston, Jamaica, 21 April 2020. The Jamaica Patriotic Movement (JPM) today thanked Cuba for its selfless help in sending a medical brigade to its nation to help fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mr. Carlos Daley, President of the JPM, expressed his gratitude to Prensa Latina on behalf of the Jamaican people for the humanism of the Cuban government in its tireless effort to contribute to the well-being of those who need medical care.
