The Cuban medical brigade is ready to assist the Turks and Caicos Islands

Cuba’s Henry Reeve Medical Cooperation Brigade present today in the Turks and Caicos Islands is ready, awaiting completion of quarantine, to help the islands to fight the scourge of Covid-19.

Kingston, Jamaica, 25 June 2020. Cuba’s Henry Reeve Medical Cooperation Brigade present today in the Turks and Caicos Islands is ready, awaiting completion of quarantine, to help the islands to fight the scourge of Covid-19.

Dr. Alfredo Morán, Head of the group of Cuban healthcare professionals, said they are in excellent health, fulfilling all duties they have been assigned at this stage, before they start dealing with the disease caused by the novel coronavirus SAR- CoV-2.

The PNPYO of Jamaica sent a message of solidarity with Cuba

The document, issued by Krystal Tomlinson, PNPYO President, and Dexroy Martin, its Secretary General, commends the ties of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and Jamaica and salutes those who are on the front line of the fight against the pandemic for “their continued dedication, patience and hard work in this time of crisis. ”

The Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica celebrates Father's Day

The staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Jamaica celebrated Father's Day this third Sunday of June, with a political-cultural-recreational activity held on the premises of its diplomatic headquarters in this capital. The celebration was attended by a reduced number of participants, in compliance with measures adopted in the country to control the spread of Covid-19.

A Cuban Medical Brigade arrives in the Turks and Caicos Islands

At 12:15 p.m. (local time) on Monday, the thirty-fifth brigade of the Henry Reeve International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics arrived at the Providenciales International Airport, in the Turks and Caicos Islands, sent abroad by Cuba to cooperate in the fight against Covid-19.

Association of Cuban Residents in Jamaica celebrates Maceo and Che’s birthdays in an original way (+VIDEO)

Social isolation imposed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic did not prevent Cubans in Jamaica from celebrating yesterday, June 14, the 175th and 92nd anniversaries of the births of Antonio Maceo Grajales and Ernesto Guevara de la Serna, respectively.

Directors and members of the Association of Cuban Residents in Jamaica (ACRJ) recorded an emotional 3-minute video, paying tribute to these two leading figures in the history of Cuba and the Americas.
