A Cuban medical brigade arrived in Jamaica to fight COVID-19

Kingston, Jamaica, 22 March, 2020. Traveling on a Cubana de Aviación flight, 138 Cuban healthcare professionals, trained in coping with disaster situations and serious epidemics, arrived in Jamaica at noon this Saturday to join the country’s fight against the SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19 virus spread.

The People's National Party of Jamaica welcomes Cuban health professionals

The People’s National Party (PNP) welcomes the team of Cuban medical professionals who arrived in the island today to help in the fight against the COVID-19 crisis.

The Cuban COVID-19 response team comprises 140 medical professionals, which includes 90 specialist nurses (including critical care, emergency, medical surgical and primary care nurses), 46 doctors (including internists and haematologists) and four therapists.
