The Ambassador of Cuba congratulates Norwegian authorities on Norway´s National Day

Oslo, May 17, 2025. At the reception that took place on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Norway at the Government Guest House, the Ambassador of Cuba, Maité Rivero Torres, had the opportunity to greet important personalities from the Norwegian government, including the Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Støre; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Espen Barth Eide, and the Minister of International Development, Åsmund Grøver Aukrust.

She extended cordial congratulations to all of them on such a significant date on behalf of the Cuban Government and people.

The Ambassador of Cuba participates in activities on the occasion of Norway's National Day

Oslo, May 17, 2025. Along with her colleagues from the Diplomatic Corps, the Cuban Ambassador Maité Rivero Torres took part in various activities that took place today to celebrate Norway's National Day.

Early this morning, the Cuban diplomat went to the Royal Palace, where she wrote a message conveying sincere congratulations to His Majesty The King and the other members of the Royal House, as well as to the Norwegian Government and people.

Oslo, May 16, 2025. Just a few hours before the celebration of the National Day of the Kingdom of Norway, the Cuban Ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, along with her colleagues from the Diplomatic Corps, attended a briefing with Åsmund Grøver Aukrust, Minister of International Development, and Eivind Vad Petersson, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In his remarks, Minister Grøver Aukrust outlined Norway's priorities in international cooperation and development aid.

Young Norwegian student successfully completes academic stay in Cuba

Oslo, May 6, 2025. Lars Øvergaard, a student of the career of Teaching at the University of Oslo, successfully completed his stay at the Enrique José Varona Cuban University of Pedagogical Sciences.

Between January and April, at the Faculty of Education in Social and Human Sciences of the aforementioned university, the young Norwegian man completed a Diploma program and made research activities for the elaboration of his Master's thesis in Latin American Studies.
