Cuba Categorically Rejects Claims of Participation in the Conflict in Ukraine

Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs 

The Government of the Republic of Cuba rejects the mendacious allegations being spread by the United States Government concerning an alleged involvement of Cuba in the military conflict in Ukraine. This is a slanderous accusation first launched in 2023 by certain media outlets without offering any evidence or substantiation of any kind, and clearly serving an assigned purpose. 

Cuban Ambassador to Norway attends the State opening of the 170th Storting

Oslo, October 11, 2025. Along with her colleagues from the Diplomatic Corps, the Ambassador of Cuba to Norway, Maité Rivero Torres, today attended the State opening of the 170th Storting, a ceremony which marked the start of a new parliamentary year.

The Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Støre, handed over the Speech from the Throne to His Majesty the King Harald V, who read it. Through it, the Storting was informed about the Government's program for the year ahead.

Military action against Venezuela must be stopped

Cuba has been warning about the growing escalation by the United States government against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which clearly seeks to overthrow the constitutional government of President Nicolás Maduro Moros and establish a servile government willing to surrender Venezuela’s oil, key natural resources, and national sovereignty to the United States.

Cuban Ambassador Receives Odd-Jarl Gerhardsen, member of the Communist Party of Norway and Editor-in-Chief of FRIHETEN newspaper

Oslo, October 1, 2025. The Cuban ambassador to Norway, Maité Rivero Torres, held a friendly meeting with Odd-Jarl Gerhardsen, editor-in-chief of Friheten, the newspaper of the Communist Party of Norway (NKP), just days before his departure for Havana to participate in the Third International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Left-Wing Parties and Movements, which will take place from October 15 to 17.
