Oslo, June 23, 2025. Juan Alfonso Fernández González, advisor to the Cuban Ministry of Communications, is in Norway to participate in the Internet Governance Forum (IGF 2025), taking place in Lillestrøm from June 23 to 27.
On the first day of the event, Fernández González, who is a member of the UN Secretary-General's Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Group on Internet Governance, participated in the panel on the 20th anniversary of the Working Group on Internet Governance (WGIG), as well as in the meeting of participants from Latin America and the Caribbean.

The threat of a direct US aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, spurred by the genocidal government of Israel became true, following the dastardly bombings against the nuclear sites of Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
Cuba strongly condemns these grave acts that represent a perilous escalation of the Middle East conflict and a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and international law.

This June, the Summer School "Critical Theories of the South" took place at the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) in Bø, organized by that Norwegian university along with the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Havana (FAYL-UH) as part of the actions planned for this year under the cooperation project "Ecological Connections: Cultural Studies in Cuba and Norway" (ECOCON).
