Cuban Ambassador meets with members of the Board of the Norway-Cuba Friendship Association

Oslo, June 30, 2025. For the Cuban Ambassador to Norway, Maité Rivero Torres, it was a great pleasure to meet with the members of the Board of the Norway-Cuba Friendship Association (Cubaforeningen i Norge) on the occasion of their semester-end review meeting.

Cuban expert actively participates in the Internet Governance Forum 2025, taking place in Lillestrøm, Norway

Oslo, June 26, 2025. Juan Alfonso Fernández González, advisor to the Cuban Ministry of Communications, is actively participating in the Internet Governance Forum 2025, taking place in Lillestrøm this week.

His participation as a panelist at the Open Forum "Building Bridges for the World Summit on the Information Society WSIS Plus: A Multistakeholder Dialogue" was significant.

The Cuban expert also attended a consultation session held by the co-facilitators of the WSIS+20 process, which is underway in preparation for the upcoming UN General Assembly.

Cuba present at the Internet Governance Forum (IGF 2025) taking place in Norway

Oslo, June 23, 2025. Juan Alfonso Fernández González, advisor to the Cuban Ministry of Communications, is in Norway to participate in the Internet Governance Forum (IGF 2025), taking place in Lillestrøm from June 23 to 27.

On the first day of the event, Fernández González, who is a member of the UN Secretary-General's Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Group on Internet Governance, participated in the panel on the 20th anniversary of the Working Group on Internet Governance (WGIG), as well as in the meeting of participants from Latin America and the Caribbean.
