The general secretary of the Lebanese Communist Party (PCL), Hanna Gharib and the PCL executive and president of the Lebanon-Cuba Friendship Association, Maurice Nohra, were received by the Cuban ambassador Jorge P. León Cruz, and held a fruitful meeting in which the interest and willingness to work for the strengthening of the links between the PCL and the PCC was evidenced.

Ambassador Jorge León Cruz signed the book of condolences opened at the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon on the passing away of President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and other accompanying persons, in a tragic accident of the helicopter in which they were traveling on May 19, 2024.

Ambassadors of Cuba and Palestine in Lebanon advocate the strengthening of ties of friendship and solidarity.

Ambassador Jorge Leon Cruz received the ambassador of the State of Palestine in the Lebanese Republic, Ashraf Dabour, and held a fraternal meeting in which they reviewed the latest events taking place in the region, the current Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian territories and the need for international action to stop the genocidal massacre against the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem.
