XIII Edition of the Cubaneando Festival in the city of Montreal

From June 21 to 23, 2024, the 13th edition of the Cubaneando International Festival was held in the city of Montreal.

The meeting, sponsored by Anays Ford, Cuban resident in Montreal, and other members of the community, counted with the participation of Cuban and foreign artists. Concerts by Alex Duvall and Mayito Rivera allowed for greater enjoyment by those present.

Activities for children and young people were also organized. Cuba was also promoted as a destination. Colors and joys characterized the day within the framework of Cubaneando.

Cuban Consulate participates in Toronto's Latin Fair

The Consulate of Cuba along with other Latin American consulates accredited in Toronto (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico and Uruguay) exhibited part of their roots at the Latin Fair to highlight the Hispanic heritage and cultural diversity in Canada.

The space was propitious for those present to enjoy a little piece of Cuba with the joy that characterizes Cubans and where there was no shortage of good Cuban music, dominoes and the opportunity to taste the rich flavor of Cuban food.

Ambassador of Cuba meets with the Honorable Yves-François Blanchet, leader of the Bloc Québécois

June 19, 2024. Cuban Ambassador to Canada Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz visited the Honorable Yves-François Blanchet, leader of the Bloc Québécois.

During the meeting, the Cuban Ambassador gave an update on the economic and social situation of our country and the effects caused by the tightening of the blockade and the arbitrary inclusion of the island on the list of state sponsors of terrorism.

Donation from the Association of Cubans in Ottawa-Gatineau to Matanzas

Ottawa - June 19, 2024. The Association of Cuban Residents in Ottawa - Gatineau made an important donation to the Provincial Hospital of Matanzas "Faustino Pérez".
 
The donation of medical supplies, medicines and consumables was received by the Geriatrics and Neurology wards of said hospital and will be destined mainly to the elderly patients admitted to this medical center.
 
Members of the Association expressed their willingness to continue sending supplies to our country, for which they will continue working.
