Havana-Glasgow Twinning Celebration: More than 20 years of friendship and cooperation

In commemoration of the 850th anniversary of the city of Glasgow, various official activities were held on Monday organised by the Glasgow City Council to celebrate the twinning between this city and Havana, a relationship of brotherhood that dates back to 2002 and symbolises more than two decades of solid friendship, cooperation and cultural ties between the two cities.

Cuban Ambassador Talks with Canadian and European Union homologs

Harare, June 10, 2025 – Cuban Ambassador Susellys Pérez Mesa spoke with her homologs from Canada and the European Union (EU) in Zimbabwe as part of a courtesy visit to the diplomatic corps accredited to the African nation. The Head of Mission of the Caribbean country was received by His Excellency Mr. Adler Aristilde, with whom she discussed bilateral relations, the status of business, and projects with Canada. Pérez Mesa and the EU Ambassador, His Excellency Mr. Jobst von Kirchmann, discussed the current state of Cuba's ties and the challenges and prospects for the bloc.

Che Guevara is also remembered in Africa

Johannesburg, 10 June 2025. The Forge, a meeting place for students and intellectuals in the centre of Johannesburg, witnessed today the enduring relevance of Ernesto Che Guevara's thinking and his great influence on the Cuban revolutionary process. It was clear that Che also lives and thrives in Africa. The cold winter did not deter the nearly 50 people who gathered there to talk about the heroic guerrilla fighter.

La 41 FIHAV, a strategic meeting point for business in the region

From November 24 to 29, 2025, the Expocuba Fairgrounds will reopen its doors to welcome business leaders, official delegations, chambers of commerce, trade and investment promotion agencies, and guests from around the world to celebrate the 41st edition of FIHAV.

The 40th edition was attended by 61 countries, in addition to the European Union and the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA), with 31 chamber delegations and 15 high-level official delegations. A total of 723 companies participated, of which 435 were foreign and 288 were domestic.
