Kingston, 1 June 2026. On the morning of 31 May, the iconic Emancipation Park hosted a rally in solidarity with Cuba, organised by various organisations within the Solidarity Movement and supported by the Association of Cubans Residing in Jamaica.
The Parties of the European Communist Action (ECA) condemn in the strongest possible terms the escalating aggression of US imperialism, including the deployment of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz in the Caribbean Sea, the baseless accusations levelled against Raúl Castro, and the provocative threats of military attack directed against Cuba, the rights of its people, and the achievements of the Cuban Socialist Revolution.
Members of the Quebec-Cuba Solidarity Roundtable and Cuban residents in Montreal called this Sunday for the lifting of the economic, financial, and commercial blockade imposed by the United States more than six decades ago.
The demonstrators gathered peacefully, as they do on the last Sunday of every month, in front of the U.S. Consulate in Montreal, carrying Cuban flags and signs expressing support for the Caribbean nation.
They also demanded an end to Washington’s escalating aggression and forcefully declared: “No to war against Cuba!”
