Harare, September 24, 2025 – The Herald today published a call for international solidarity in Zimbabwe demanding the immediate lifting of the US blockade of Cuba, which has lasted more than 60 years.

The african nation's leading newspaper reflected Ambassador Susellys Pérez Mesa's call for global support in the context of the upcoming vote in the United Nations General Assembly on the resolution demanding an end to the economic, commercial, and financial blockade of the Caribbean island.
