Statement of the Revolutionary Government

US President Donald Trump lashes out against Cuba from day one and without pretext. The decision to reinstate the tough economic warfare measures against Cuba, which his predecessor removed just days before, proves the aggressiveness of US imperialism against the sovereignty, peace and welfare of the Cuban people. These measures comprise the inclusion of our country, once again, in the arbitrary list of States that allegedly sponsor terrorism, a designation that shows an absolute disregard for the truth.

Solidarity with Cuba: A Call for Justice and the End of the Blockade

Harare, January 20, 2025- Solidarity with Cuba, the call for justice and an end to the U.S. blockade of Cuba are the focus of today's publication of The Pan Afrikanist, a center for the restoration of African dignity.

While the removal of Cuba from the State Department's list of so-called sponsors of terrorism, the suspension of lawsuits under Title III of the Helms-Burton Act and the lifting of restrictions on certain financial transactions are a step in the right direction, they are but small cracks in the walls of an unjust and inhumane blockade.

Achievements of Cuban medical internationalism despite the blockade were highlighted in the UK

Cuba’s dedicated health workers have been at the forefront of Cuba’s legendary internationalism and inspired us with what they have achieved at home and abroad despite 62 years of an illegal US blockade. On September 23, I’m delighted to be speaking at a the north-west Cuba Vive Rally at the Casa in my home constituency of Liverpool Riverside.

Alongside the Cuban ambassador, parliamentary colleagues Bell Ribeiro-Addy and Richard Burgon and trade union leaders, I will be helping to raise awareness and funds to send life-saving medical aid to Cuba.
