Movement of solidarity with Cuba in Denmark congratulates President Miguel Díaz-Canel and ratifies its support to the struggle against blockade
The national board of the Danish-Cuban Association of Friendship approved in its meeting in June a statement through which they congratulate the Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, elected in the electoral process to the bodies of People’s Power where the Cuban democracy was evident as well as the unity of the people.
Deputy Speaker of the Danish Parliament receives the Ambassador of Cuba in Denmark
Copenhagen- The Deputy Speaker and member of the Presidium of the Danish Parliament (Folketinget), Christian Juhl, received the Ambassador of Cuba in Denmark, Yiliam Gómez at the headquarters of the legislative body on June 11. They exchanged about opportunities of collaboration between both countries, the beginning of the work of the IX legislature of the National Assembly of People’s Power (ANPP/ Cuban Parliament), as well as other events with an impact on international relations.
The annual gathering 2018 of Cuban residents in Denmark was held in Odense
The annual gathering of Cuban residents in Denmark took place in Odense on 2 June. The Cuban Ambassador, Yiliam Gómez Sardiñas and the Consul, Ares Valdés Acea, attended the meeting where participated more than 100 Cuban residents and their families, including their descendants from different regions of the Nordic country. In this context, a video about the main activities developed between 2017 and 2018 was screened. The Cuban consul provided an update on the migratory policy and emphasized on the importance to support the struggle against blockade from any place in the world.
Cuban Ambassador in Copenhagen visits UNICEF Supply Division
On May 29, the ambassador of Cuba in Denmark Yiliam Gómez visited the the Supply Division of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), which is headquartered in Copenhagen. The Cuban diplomat was received by the Director of the Division, Dr. Etleva Kadilli, accompanied by other officials of that entity. Dr. Kadilli, who recently visited the Finlay Institute of Vaccines in Cuba, appreciated the development achieved by the Caribbean country in the research and production of vaccines.
