NDC Party expresses its condolences to the Embassy of Cuba
A delegation from the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), headed by its National President, Mr. Kofi Portuphy, and the General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, visited the Embassy of Cuba in Ghana, with the aim of expressing their heartfelt condolences to the government, the Communist Party and the people of Cuba on the occasion of the fatal plane crash that occurred on May 18. They were received by the Ambassador, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, who thanked them for their presence with Cuba in a moment of pain.
Members of the Cuban embassy in Ghana participate in the Health Walk for the 55th Anniversary of the African Union
Members of the Cuban embassy in Ghana participated in a Health Walk on the streets of Accra, in commemoration for the 55th Anniversary of the African Union (AU).
The activity, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana, was also attended by: other members of the Diplomatic Corps, workers of the Ghanaian Chancellery, and other governmental institutions, as well as a representation of the Armed Forces and of the different Ghanaian security forces.
Cuban Ambassador to Ghana reiterates his commitment to strengthen bilateral relations
The Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, was interviewed by the Ghanaian TV channel, Metro TV, in the person of the journalist Harriet Nartey, host of the thematic program Diplomatic Affairs.
In the course of his speech, the Ambassador stressed that next year diplomatic relations between Ghana and Cuba will reach the 60th anniversary, and reaffirmed that Ghana was the first State in sub-Saharan Africa that recognized the young triumphant Revolution.
The ties of cooperation in health between Ghana and Cuba are reaffirmed
During the meeting between the Vice President of Ghana, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the government delegation of Cuba headed by the Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Marcia Cobas Ruiz, was ratified the continuity of the bilateral cooperation in health on mutually advantageous bases.
The Ghanaian Vice President reaffirmed the commitment to comply with the agreement, while the Cuban side presented new proposals that will help to increase the quality of health services rendered in Ghana.
