Díaz-Canel receives the President of Ghana
The president of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel, received on Thursday the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who is on an official visit to Cuba since last Wednesday.
The visit takes place in the year that marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Ghana was the first sub-Saharan African country to establish relations with Cuba, the Cuban president recalled in the social network Twitter.

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, arrived in Havana on Wednesday afternoon, and was received at Terminal No. 1 of the “José Martí” International Airport by Rogelio Sierra, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba.
As part of his official visit to the island, the President of Ghana will meet with Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, president of the Councils of State and Ministers.
Ghanaian student delegation expresses admiration for Cuba
The Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, received a delegation from the Private Universities Student’s Association of Ghana (PUSAG), headed by its President Mr. Charles Opoku.
In the course of the talks, the parties ratified the work links, expressed with the participation of a PUSAG delegation, in the International Brigade, May 1st on 2018. The Cuban Ambassador, who highlighted that he, has received three Presidents of that organization, and emphasized on the importance of developing positive values in the youth peoples.
