Cubans living in Ghana participate in tribute paid to Fidel
A representation of Cuban community in Ghana attended the homage paid to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution on the first anniversary of his physical disappearance.
In the political-cultural activity, organized jointly by the Embassy of Cuba and the organizations that make up the Solidarity Campaign, Ms. Julia Amparo Pinto, on behalf of the Cuban residents, expressed her recognition of Fidel's role as guide and conductor of the Cuban Revolution
Ghanaian Sports Minister on Official Visit in Havana
MSc. Antonio Becali, president of the Cuban National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER by its Spanish acronym), received Mr. Issac Kwame Asiamah, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Ghana, at Jose Marti International Airport.
The distinguished guest thanked Cuba for its collaboration to develop the sport in his country, which managed to become a power in boxing thanks to Cuban coaches and also highlighted the support in the fight against colonialism in Africa.
Ambassador of Cuba see off the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ghana on his trip to Havana
The Ambassador of Cuba, Pedro Luis Despaigne González saw off the Minister for Youth and Sports and member of the Parliament of Ghana, Mr. Isaac Kwame Asiamah, in his travel to Cuba.
The Minister, as the head of a delegation of four members, will participate in Cuba in the 7th International Convention of Physical Activity and Sport (AFIDE 2017), after invitation received from the President of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation of Cuba (INDER, acronym in Spanish) Dr. Antonio E. Becalli.
