Cubans in Ghana celebrate the Mother's Day
A representation of Cuban mothers living in Ghana, together with their relatives and members of the Embassy of Cuba, celebrated the Mother's Day.
The First Secretary of the Embassy, Julio César Sánchez, in his words paid homage to the Mothers. During his speech, he referred to the true meaning and essence of the word Mother, extending it to the meaning of the word Homeland, as the mother of all Cubans, wherever they may be.
Those attending the activity tasted typical dishes of Cuban cuisine and enjoyed Cuban music.
Ghanaian trade unionists reaffirm their solidarity with Cuba
For the third consecutive time, the Trades Union Congress (TUC) of Ghana participates in the Solidarity Program with Cuba, which organizes the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) as part of the commemoration of International Workers' Day.
On this occasion, the presence of the brigadistas is the scenario of the intensification of the interventionist actions of the current US administration, as recently denounced in his Press Conference, the Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla.
Ghana Trades Union Congress will participate in May Day in Cuba
The Ambassador of Cuba, Pedro Luis Despaigne González participated in an exchange with representatives of the Trades Union Congress Ghana (TUC), the umbrella trade union organization in the country, who will travel to Cuba to join the 14th edition of the May Day International Volunteer Work Brigade in Solidarity with Cuba.
Cuban Ambassador attends tribute to Ghanaian internationalist fighter Captain (ret) Kojo Tsikata
The Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González attended the tribute organized in Accra, by the Embassy of the Republic of Angola to Captain (r) Kojo Tsikata, and to whom the Angolan Ambassador, Mr. Augusto da Silva Cunha, decorated for his contribution to the liberating national struggle in that Southern African country.
