Deputy Minister of Health of Cuba is received by the Minister of Health of Ghana
The Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Marcia Cobas and the rest of the Cuban government delegation she heads were received at the Ministry of Health of Ghana by its Minister, Hon. Kwaku Agyemang-Manu.
In the meeting the parties reviewed the state of cooperation in the field of Health, and especially the performance of the Cuban Medical Brigade, which is working in Ghana since the end of October 2016.

The Deputy Minister of Health of Cuba, Dr. Marcia Cobas and the delegation that accompanied her made a tour by the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, a place where the Cuban doctors based in the Ghanaian capital work. In that modern institution she was received by the Deputy Minister of Health of Ghana, Hon. Kingsley Aboagye-Gyedu, who headed the delegation of his country to the Convention Cuba Salud 2018, held in Havana. In a brief meeting both Deputy Ministers exchanged about new forms of bilateral cooperation.

Dr. Marcia Cobas and the delegation that accompanied her were received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration by the Deputy Minister, Mr. Charles Owiredu.
During the talks, the parties highlighted the favorable state of bilateral diplomatic relations, which began in 1959, and the 35 years of cooperation in the health sector.
Deputy Minister of Health of Cuba visited the city of Tamale in the Northern region of Ghana
As part of her visit to Ghana, the head of the Cuban government delegation, Dr. Marcia Cobas Ruiz visited the city of Tamale, capital of the Northern region, where she was received by the Regional Deputy Minister, Mr. Solomon Namliit Boar, with whom she exchanged about issues of bilateral interest. The Cuban Deputy Minister communicated Cuba's interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of Health.
