Cuba in Grenada

Renowned Grenadian jurist links U.S. hostility to Cuba’s current difficulties

Renowned Grenadian jurist Ruggles Ferguson, King’s Counsel, recently denounced on Meaningful TV Grenada the responsibility of the United States for the difficult situation Cuba is facing.

Ferguson pointed out that the measures imposed by Washington have deepened the island’s energy and economic shortages, limiting access to basic resources and directly affecting the daily lives of Cubans. The jurist stressed that Caribbean solidarity must be firm and visible in the face of these external pressures.

Former Grenadian Foreign Minister calls for solidarity with Cuba during Party Congress

The political leader of Grenada’s Democratic People’s Movement (DPM), Peter David, issued a call to uphold solidarity with Cuba during his organization’s most recent congress in Saint George, denouncing the responsibility of the United States in the crisis facing the island. His remarks focused on the need to preserve Caribbean unity in the face of external pressures.

Grenadian solidarity with Cuba reaffirmed in Parliament

The Senate of Grenada was the setting for a statement of support for Cuba by Senator Andrés Lewis, who addressed the legislative session to denounce the effects of the U.S. blockade and to reaffirm his country’s solidarity with the Island.

Lewis emphasized that the coercive measures imposed against Cuba have had a severe impact on the daily life of its people. Such provisions, he affirmed, restrict access to essential resources and affect strategic sectors such as health and energy.
