The Cyprus-Cuba Friendship Association salutes the 60th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution and expresses its solidarity with the people and leadership of Cuba. The Revolution marked the overthrow of Batista's dictatorial regime and the beginning of socialist construction in Cuba, the first socialist state in the Western hemisphere.

The prominent plastic artist Arif Husanov, president of the Azerbaijan Friendship Association with Cuba, highlighted the solidarity between his country and Cuba, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
In a meeting at the diplomatic headquarters of the Caribbean island in Baku, Azerbaijan, where he held a fraternal meeting with Ambassador Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, stressed that the Azerbaijani and Cuban peoples have maintained historic ties of friendship.
