Cuban presence in children's activity in Accra

The First Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba to Ghana,  Julio César Sánchez, witnessed the performance of a group of girls and boys from the primary school of "Merton" International School  in Accra, after invitation received at the embassy sent by the school's management.

The First Secretary observed the development of a Cultural Festival, where the children represented all the continents and a group of countries, including Cuba, through dances, songs and other artistic expressions.

Meeting held on the security for trade flows and the protection of persons between Cuba and the United States

On November 16, 2017, the second meeting of the U.S.-Cuba working group on the security for trade flows and the protection of persons between Cuba and the United States took place in Washington D.C.
 
This working group meets in the framework of law enforcement, which both parties maintain for the coordination of the combat against transnational crimes affecting the two countries. The meeting took place in an ambiance of respect and professionalism.

The Hero of the Republic of Cuba, Antonio Guerrero, held a fraternal meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of Namibia, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwa. Also present were Rubí Despaigne, president of UNECA, and Cuban ambassador Giraldo Mazola.

The meeting was propitious for Guerrero to reiterate to the Chancellor, on his behalf and on behalf of his four other colleagues, the gratitude for all that Namibia did for their release. Similarly, he recalled the visit of the Five in 2015 and the unrepeatable shows of affection received in this country.

During the exchange, the Cuban Hero presented the main issues addressed with his Namibian counterparts in the construction area.

For her part, Chancellor Netumbo thanked Tony for her words and reaffirmed the special affection that exists between the peoples of Namibia and Cuba, born of the blood shed together for the freedom of this African country.

Likewise, the Namibian leader also expressed her satisfaction with the current state of bilateral cooperation relations, although she urged to work more for its expansion and strengthening

NASSAU, November 15th, 2017. -The Ambassador of Cuba to the Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, attended as a special guest a radio interview of the talk show “Connected”of the Bahamian station Guardian Radio.

During the interview, the Cuban diplomat addressed various topics of interest, in particular, the opportunities for foreign investment in Cuba, the growth of the Cuban economy despite the blockade imposed by the US, the existing collaboration between Cuba and The Bahamas, as well as other elements of particular interest to the Caribbean region.

The Minister for Youth and Sports of Ghana will visit Cuba

The Minister of Youth and Sports of Ghana, Mr. Isaac Kwame Asiamah, received the Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González at the headquarters of his Ministry.

The Minister and the Ambassador held a job interview in which they analyzed the preparations for the visit to Cuba of a delegation from that ministry, which will participate in the 7th International Convention of Physical Activity and Sport (AFIDE 2017), invited by the President of INDER, Dr. Antonio E. Becalli.

Antonio Guerrero Rodríguez, Hero of the Republic of Cuba and Vice-President of the Superior Organization for Entrepreneurial Management (OSDE) of Construction Design and Engineering, and Rubí Despaigne, President of the UNECA, Cuban Construction Services Company, arrived on Tuesday to Windhoek, capital of Namibia, on a working visit to check bilateral cooperation in that area.

As part of their work program, both representatives of Cuba will hold meetings with their Namibian counterparts in the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development and in the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation.

They will also attend the Fidel Castro Primary School in Katutura, an educational center that welcomes more than a thousand students, and will participate in a meeting with the Cuban residents and collaborators in this African country, as well as with the members of the Namibia- Cuba Friendship Association.

For his part, the Cuban hero will be received by the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and by leaders of the SWAPO Party.

The visit from November 14 to 17 to the Namibian capital will contribute to the strengthening of relations between Havana and Windhoek.
