The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Georgia, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, participated in the inauguration of the new president of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili.
The new president was sworn in after being elected with 59% of the votes in the elections held at the end of November.
Attendees from dozens of countries attended the swearing-in ceremony.

At the official reception offered by the President, the Cuban diplomat also held talks with the president of the Parliament of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze.
