Opening of the Consulate of Cuba in Rotterdam during the holidays and New Year's Eve

The Consulate of Cuba of Rotterdam will be open to the public in its regular hours from 9:00 to 13:00hrs from Monday through Friday until and included Friday December 21st, 2018.

The Consulate will be closed on December 24, 25 and 31st, 2018 and on January 1st and 2, 2019. The Consulate will resume its regular activities on Thursday January 3, 2019.

On December 26, 27 and 28, the Consulate will only open in cases of EMERGENCY that has been previously informed and confirmed through the email address  concuba@bart.nl.

Opening of the Embassy of Cuba during the holidays and New Year's Eve

The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in the Netherlands informs that it will remain closed on December 24, 25 and 31st, 2018 and on January 1st and 2, 2019. 

On December 26, 27 and 28  the Embassy can be reached in case of emergency through the telephone numbers +31 (0)653769523 and +31 (0)653769545.

The Embassy of Cuba will resume its regular hours and activities on Thursday January 3rd, 2019.

Cuba and Croatia are moving towards greater mutual cooperation

Zagreb, 12 December 2018. The Cuban Ambassador to Croatia, H.E. Mr. Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios was received by H.E Ms. Ivana Živković, Assistant Minister, Head of the Directorate for Economic Affairs and Development Cooperation at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, during his visit to the capital of the European country.

The Vice Minister of Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Genadi Arveladze, received in Tbilisi, as part of his visit, the Ambassador of Cuba in this Caucasian country, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo.
At the meeting, both authorities identified possible areas of cooperation with the aim of promoting the rapprochement between businessmen of the two countries.
The Cuban diplomat and the Georgian vice minister valued the promotion of investments, the possibility of exports of goods and services and mutual tourism promotion, among others.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Georgia, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Alexander Khvtisiashvili, held official talks as part of the visit of the Cuban diplomat to this Caucasian nation.
Nieves Portuondo said the visit is an excellent opportunity to discuss bilateral relations, as well as to promote dialogue and cooperation between both governments.
The diplomat also highlighted the interest in extending cultural and academic exchanges, and increasing Georgian tourism to the island.

Cuba-Cayman Islands V Round of Migratory Conversations celebrated in Grand Cayman

Cayman Islands, 11 December 2018. During 10-11 December, the V Round of Migratory Conversations between Cuba and Cayman Islands was celebrated in Grand Cayman, presided over by Ernesto Soberón Guzmán, director for Consular Affairs and Cuban Residents Abroad at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba and Hon. Franz Manderson, Deputy Governor General of Cayman Islands. 

Cuba reaffirms at the United Nations that respecting the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of States is part of the Culture of Peace.

New York, 12 December 2018. Cuba participated in the General Debate on Item 35 on Culture of Peace of the United Nations General Assembly, reiterating the validity of the Declaration and Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace, as well as its commitment to this agenda and to multilateralism.

Cuba and Croatia continue strengthening their relations at the highest level

Zagreb, 11 December 2018. On the occasion of the traditional Christmas and New Year's reception hosted by H.E Ms. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, President of the Republic of Croatia to the Diplomatic Corps accredited to that country; the Cuban Ambassador, H.E Mr. Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios held a meeting with the European President where both parties reaffirmed the good state of the bilateral relations and the willingness to continue strengthening them.
