Cuban Ambassador meets with Vienna District 7 Chief to strengthen community ties

Vienna, December 9, 2025.- The Cuban Ambassador to Austria, Pablo Berti Oliva, held a working meeting with Mr. Markus Reiter, Head of Vienna's District 7 (Neubau), at the district administration headquarters.

During the cordial meeting, both parties expressed their willingness to work together for the benefit of the Neubau community. Ambassador Berti Oliva emphasized the Diplomatic Mission's special pride in being the only one located in District 7.

Cuban artist residing in Cyprus shares proposals and joint initiatives with the Cuban Embassy in Nicosia in honor of the homeland's culture.

Nicosia, Cyprus, December 8, 2025. The Cuban ambassador to Cyprus, Rubén Pino Martínez, welcomed this Monday various proposals and initiatives carried out by the Cuban choreographer and dancer residing in Larnaca, Yonly Leyva Desdunes, as part of a potential calendar of activities to be planned throughout the year and in different areas of this Eastern Mediterranean island, in honor of the values and richness of Cuban culture.

Cuba Day celebrated at Badr University in Cairo

Cairo, December 9, 2025. Students and professors from the Spanish Department at Badr University in Cairo celebrated Cuba Day with the Cuban ambassador to Cairo, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, and other embassy officials in attendance. The Cuban diplomats spoke with professors and students about the culture, history, and traditions of the Caribbean nation.

During the meeting at the university's headquarters in the capital, the Cuban ambassador reviewed his country's history and various aspects of its society, including literature and sports.

New York, 9 December 2025. The Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations, Ambassador Ernesto Soberón Guzmán, spoke at the inaugural meeting of the Group of Friends of Global Governance today, an initiative that Cuba fully welcomes and supports. In his speech, Ambassador Guzmán expressed Cuba's gratitude to the People's Republic of China for convening this group, particularly given the current international context of growing inequalities, geopolitical tensions and ongoing development challenges.

December 8, 2025 (CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) – The eighth of December 2025 marks the Fifty-Third Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago, the four then independent Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Member States, and Cuba. That bold act of 8 December 1972 has evolved steadily into a fruitful and mutually beneficial friendship between all CARICOM Member States and Cuba.

The Cuban Ambassador Tania López Larroque arrives in Jamaica.

Kingston, 8 December 2025. On the date marking the 53rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Jamaica, Ambassador-designate Tania López Larroque arrived in the capital of the Caribbean nation. She was received at Norman Manley International Airport by officials from the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica and the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Diplomatic Mission, Rolando Dávila Gallardo.
