Solidarity with Cuba grows stronger in Cape Town

Cape Town, December 3, 2025.- Cuba's ambassador to South Africa, Fakri Rodríguez Pinelo, held a fruitful exchange with Father Michael Lapsley and Fátima Swartz, founding and still active members of the solidarity movement with Cuba in South Africa. also met with Cuba's long-time friend, Marius Fransman, with whom he discussed how to strengthen ties between our nations, which “still have a long way to go.” These meetings reinforce the commitment and momentum of the solidarity movement with Cuba in South Africa, especially in the Western Cape.

Strengthening Cuba's relations with Limpopo

Polokwane, 2 December 2025. Cuba's Ambassador to South Africa, Fakri Rodríguez Pinelo, paid a working visit to Limpopo in northern South Africa. He held fruitful meetings with local authorities and political leaders, and exchanged with Cuban workers on official mission in the province. This visit reaffirms both countries' commitment to strengthening and diversifying bilateral relations. 

Cuba participates in the South African Science and Technology Forum

Pretoria, 28 November, 2025.- As part of the Science and Technology Forum programme organised and sponsored by the South African Department of Science, Technology and Innovation, Cuba's Ambassador to South Africa, Fakri Rodríguez Pinelo, participated in a panel discussion on scientific diplomacy. The event has been taking place at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) since last Monday.

South Africa present at FIHAV 2025

Havana, November 24, 2025.- A delegation from the Free State provincial government, in South Africa, responsible for economic and business matters, is visiting Cuba in order to participate in the 41(st) edition of the Havana International Fair, FIHAV 2025. This visit will be an important opportunity to strengthen trade and cooperation ties between Cuba and South Africa.

Contributing, with everyone's support, to the implementation of the Government Program to correct distortions and revitalize the economy

Havana, November 20, 2025.- The members of the Council of State emphasized the importance of the process of studying and analyzing the Government Program to correct distortions and boost the economy, which is taking place in the country between November 15 and December 30, during the regular session chaired by the President of this body, Esteban Lazo Hernández.
