Cuba reaffirms its commitment to the oceans on International Maritime Day.
London, September 25. Cuban Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Ismara Vargas Walter, participated in the commemoration of International Maritime Day 2025, organized by the IMO. The Ambassador was accompanied by First Secretary for Economic and Commercial Affairs Soima Méndez Lazo.
Solidarity in Brighton: voices united against Trump's war on Cuba
Wednesday, 24 September: - The city of Brighton was the scene of an evening full of energy, commitment and solidarity at the public meeting ‘Against Trump's war on Cuba!’, held at the historic Friends' Meeting House. The event, which brought together a large in-person audience and many more virtually, became a space for open debate and reaffirmation of international support for the Cuban cause.
Cuban Embassy celebrates 99th anniversary of Commander Fidel Castro
On 13 August, in commemoration of the 99th anniversary of Fidel Castro's birth, the Cuban Embassy in the United Kingdom visited the Marx Memorial Library & Workers' School to begin collaborative work on the FIDEL 100: A Year of Legacy and Solidarity programme, planned as part of the activities celebrating the life and legacy of the historic leader.
