Sandton, 14 July 2026. —The Cuban Embassy in South Africa participated in the Manufacturing Indaba 2026, held at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg on 14 and 15 July, one of the leading forums for manufacturers, investors, public officials and stakeholders in the industrial sector in Africa.
Pretoria, 7 July 2026. —The Cuban Ambassador received Collen Malatji, President of the African National Congress (ANC) Youth League, at the embassy; he was accompanied by members of the organization’s leadership. During the meeting, the deep and enduring friendship between the peoples of Cuba and South Africa was highlighted. The South African youth delegation reaffirmed its firm commitment to Cuba’s sovereignty and self-determination.
East London, 3 July 2026. —In an emotional ceremony, 19 South African students graduated in this city after completing their studies at Cuban medical universities under the auspices of the Fidel-Mandela Scholarship Program, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary and has so far trained 3,243 South Africans as doctors.

The Cuban delegation delivered a message to the South African communists, while reaffirming its intention to continue strengthening party ties. The South African Communists reiterated their stance against domination and hegemony. They also emphasized their unwavering solidarity with Cuba.
