On March 18, 2024, U.S. Chargé d'Affaires Benjamin Ziff was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by Deputy Minister Carlos Fernández de Cossío, who formally conveyed to him the firm rejection of the interference and slanderous messages of the U.S. government and its embassy in Cuba regarding the internal affairs of the Cuban reality.

Haiti will always have the solidarity support of Cuba

The Republic of Haiti suffers a serious multidimensional crisis that worsens social instability, poverty and structural underdevelopment caused by centuries of colonial and neocolonial plunder and foreign interventions.

Haiti needs true and sufficient assistance and cooperation for its reconstruction and progress, without external interference that has not been the solution, but the cause of its problems.

 

 

Cuban Ambassador to Saint Kitts and Nevis meets with Minister of Public Infrastructure of the Federation

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, David Rivero and the Honorable Minister Konris Maynard in charge of Public Infrastructure, Transportation, Information, Communication and Technology and Post Office of Saint Kitts and Nevis, held a fruitful work meeting, this Thursday morning, at the headquarters of the Ministry.

The meeting was aimed at jointly evaluating possible collaboration in the construction and infrastructure sector.

Cuba will always be able to count on Saint Kitts and Nevis

As every year, the annual meeting took place with representatives of the associations that bring together solidarity with Cuba in Saint Kitts and Nevis, in which the affection, admiration and commitment to the Republic of Cuba was manifested by each of those present.

The main topics of greatest relevance for the period were reviewed and some of the initiatives that are already being worked on were presented.

Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Cuba calls for the International Fair, FITCuba 2024

The International Tourism Fair is the most significant professional event held annually by the Cuban tourism industry. A few weeks remain until the celebration of FITCuba 2024, between May 2 and 5 in Jardines del Rey, province of Ciego de Ávila. This year the event is of particular importance as it will host ministers and leaders of the sector from the Americas and the Caribbean, as well as the main authorities of the United Nations branch. The participation of other professionals in the sector is also expected, especially tour operators, airlines, businessmen and entrepreneurs.

Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis calls for the end of the US embargo against Cuba in the VIII Summit of Heads of State and Government of CELAC.

“Excellencies, I also take this opportunity to call for an end to the economic, commercial, and financial embargo on Cuba. What is the purpose? What does it achieve? Cuba continues to be a dear friend and a committed partner. Just recently our country needed a few medical specialists, and Cuba quickly responded. The countless lives that Cuban healthcare professionals have saved cannot be counted. Despite the limitations imposed on Cuba, it has accomplished great things. Let us imagine what Cuba could accomplish if given the space to do so. It is past time to lift this unjust embargo”.

Cuba thanks the government of Kenya for its cooperation

Comrade Lazo confirmed the spirit of cooperation shown by the government of Kenya and appreciated its understanding of this sensitive and painful matter. The information obtained is being currently processed by the authorities in charge of following up on such a thorough and important investigation. Meanwhile, procedures are being followed with several governments and international actors in search for cooperation and further clarification.  

Religious service opens the calendar of activities for this year of the Cuban Alumni Association

As every year, the Cuban Alumni Association's calendar of activities began this Sunday with a religious service in which Cuba was the protagonist. On this occasion, the appointment was at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church of Molineux.

The pastor of the church during the sermon, referred to Cuba as an island full of goodness, which has done much for friendly nations. He criticized the media campaigns that are generated against the Island from various parts of the world and encouraged those present to learn more about the country and its people.

Ambassador of Cuba visits Minister of Health in Nevis

The Aambassador of the Republic of Cuba, David Rivero Pérez, made a working visit to the island of Nevis, where he was received by the Minister of Health of this territory, Jahnel Nisbett, Senator with ministerial responsibilities in Health, Gender Affairs and Social Services. She was also accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the branch, Shelisa Martin-Clarke. The meeting made it possible to confirm the excellent state of cooperation in health matters after a review of the main issues, while leaving open the possibility of an increase in this regard.

Premier of Nevis receives Ambassador of Cuba on a working visit.

On this Monday morning, the Premier of Nevis, Honorable Mark Brantley held a warm meeting with the Cuban Ambassador David Rivero Pérez who was accompanied by Dr. Odalis Abreu Guirado, Head of the Cuban Medical Brigade, on a work visit to this island. Once again, the Honorable Brantley conveyed to the visitors his condemnation of the unjust blockade imposed by the United States Government on Cuba as well as his gratitude to the Greater Antilles for its contribution in the health and education sectors.
