One step closer to the Constitutional Referendum

Kingston, Jamaica, 11 January 2019. The State Mission of Cuba in Jamaica took a firm step towards the Constitutional Referendum that will be held here next month, with the Official Ceremony of presentation, swearing in and inauguration of the five members of the Special Electoral Constituency Commission (SECC) who will be in charge of the organization, coordination and supervision of the voting process in Jamaica.

Members of Cuban State Mission in Jamaica donate blood in Kingston

Kingston, Jamaica, 11 January 2019. A score of members of the State Mission of Cuba in Jamaica (health and education collaborators, and employees of the Cuban Embassy in Kingston) donated blood this Friday in Kingston. They acted swiftly, in response to a call made by Dr. Dayton Campbell –the opposition spokesman on Health– and endorsed by Dr. Jacqueline Bisasor McKenzie –Chief Medical Officer at the Ministry of Health– for a national blood drive to assist persons who develop complications from contracting dengue hemorrhagic fever.

Kingston, Jamaica, 1 January 2019. Last night, the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica celebrated the 60th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution. More than a hundred people attended the festive event, including members of the State Mission of our country in Jamaica, friends of the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba, members of the Association of Cuban Residents in Jamaica "Antonio Maceo" and other Cuban nationals living in Jamaica.

Kingston, Jamaica, 20 December 2018. The Ministry of Health of Jamaica was the venue for the official signing ceremony of a protocol for the extension of Technical Cooperation agreements on Health between Cuba and Jamaica.

The document was signed by the Minister of Health of Jamaica, Dr. Christopher Tufton, and H.E. Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández, Ambassador of Cuba in this Caribbean nation.
