The Executive Order of May 1st and the blockade measures announced today further increase the harm to the Cuban Population and reinforce the threat of aggression.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejects, in the strongest possible terms, the Executive Order issued by the White House on May 1st, 2026, which tightens, to unprecedented and extreme levels, the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.

Cuba condemns the despicable accusation against the Leader of the Revolution

The Revolutionary Government condemns in the strongest terms the despicable accusation by the United States Department of Justice announced on May 20 and proclaimed for several weeks against Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, leader of the Cuban Revolution.

Statement from the Revolutionary Government regarding the visit to Havana by a delegation led by CIA Director John Ratcliffe

Following the request submitted by the U.S. government to receive a delegation led by CIA Director John Ratcliffe in Havana, the Cuban leadership approved the visit and the meeting between Ratcliffe and his counterpart from the Ministry of Interior.
The meeting was held on Thursday, May 14, in a context marked by the complexity of bilateral relations. It aimed to contribute to political dialogue between the two countries as part of ongoing efforts to address the current situation.
