Monrovia, October 16th, 2018-, In the presence of a dozen national media with various spectra (radio, printed press and television), the Chargé d'Affairs of Cuba in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera, defended the right of Cuba to demand at the General Assembly of the United Nations, next October 31st the definitive, unconditional and unilateral lifting of the policy of economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States government against Cuba.

Ulan Bator, October 16, 2018.- The President of the Mongolian Friendship Association - Cuba, Mr. Khamba Lama Dr. Ch. Dambajav held a meeting this morning with the Cuban Ambassador Raúl Delgado Concepción where the Cuban ambassador was able to offer an update on the new Draft Resolution against the criminal blockade that the United States of America maintains against the island, which has been presented as every year since 1992 and which will be proposed for a vote at the UN on October 31st.

The Director General in charge of the United States Carlos Fernández de Cossío alerted that in recent months the US government has escalated its hostile rhetoric against Cuba.  “It makes use of reiterated statements from high level  officials  aimed at manufacturing pretexts that steer toward a climate of greater bilateral tension”, said the official.

One more time, the Ambassador acted as Alternate Executive Director of constituence No. 15, which is also composed by  Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua.  The Fund is currently composed on 101 State Members and 9 insititutions.

The Bahamas, 14 October 2018. The new Cuban victory at the International Cultural Festival was outright. The biggest island of the Antilles, retained the Best in Show Prize at the International Cultural Festival, as well as the First Place of the Caribbean area.

Under the theme "This is my Havana", the love legend surrounding the figure of "La Giraldilla", the oldest symbol of the city, was highlighted. Other attractions of the capital of all Cubans such the visual arts, the handicrafts and the local cuisine had also leading roles. 

Based on the initiatives discussed with Professor Dra. V Eudine Barriteau, Pro Vice Chancellor and Principal of the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus, which led to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Havana, initiated in Barbados last November, within the framework of the International Colloquium on Fidel's Legacy, a Working Group was created to work between several UWI Faculties and the Ambassador of Cuba, Francisco Fernandez, promoting several initiatives that, when implemented under the provisions of the aforementioned MOU, have raised the framework of cooperation, academic exchanges, attendance at events of both institutions, and in this context has been proposed the establishment of a Chair of Studies that will pay tribute to the largest Caribbean socio-cultural integration, starting from the thought and the life-work of those two top arquitects of the Cuban Revolution, also recognized as the two most universal Cuban thinkers.

Aleida Guevara is in Bangkok to launch the Thai-language edition of the memorable book “Remembering Che: My Life with Che Guevara”, a love story written in her own words by his loving wife Aleida March.

The special event at the popular "Bangkok National Book Fair" commemorates the 90th birth anniversary of Ernesto Guevara de la Serna (Che), the 51st anniversary of his coward assasination and the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Cuba.

Danish-Cuban Association of Friendship celebrated the 50th anniversary of being created last 12 October,  through an activity carried out in the city of Odense that was attended by Danish friends, the Embassy of Cuba in Denmark and Cubans resident in that country.
