Visit to the Museum of Working Class History in Blackball

Blackball, October 22, 2018. Third Secretary Saimin Fis Abad paid a visit to the city of Blackball, birthplace of the Labor Party in New Zealand.

The diplomat was received by known filmmaker and activist, Paul Maunder, director of the Museum of the Working Class, who explained not only the history of this mining city, located in the West Coast Region, but also, the details of the activities for the First of May and the seminar on the perspectives of development in the mining area of the region, which is held every year.

Cuba and The Bahamas strengthen their ties in the partisan sphere.

The Bahamas, 21 October 2018. At the invitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CCPCC), a delegation of the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP), the main opposition party in The Bahamas visited Cuba from October 17 to 20. Barbadian chancellor presides over the farewell reception of the Cuban Ambassador.

Dr. Jerome Walcott, Barbadian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, chaired the government delegation that attended the reception organized by the Embassy of Cuba to farewell the head of mission, Francisco Fernandez, and the consul Ana Labaut de Dios, at the end their four years of a fruitful tour of duty in this friendly country. The Ministers of the Interior, Health, Youth and Community Affairs, the President of the Supreme Court of Justice, Vice Ministers and Directors of State agencies accompanied the Chancellor. Members of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps as well as representatives of the UN and CARICOM agencies resident in Bridgetown, were together with personalities from academia, business and representatives of the various social organizations that make up the active movement of solidarity with Cuba.

RWANDA, 22 de octubre de 2018.- El Embajador cubano en Rwanda, Antonio Luis Pubillones Izaguirre, se reunió esta mañana en la sede de la Cancillería ruandesa con el director interino para Europa, Américas y Organismos Internacionales, Benjamín Nzeyimana.

Durante el fraternal encuentro, ambos diplomáticos expresaron su beneplácito por el buen estado que caracteriza las relaciones entre Cuba y Rwanda y se pronunciaron por su fortalecimiento en lo adelante.

Monrovia, October 22nd, 2018-, On Monday afternoon the Commander-in-Chief of the Socialist organization Economic Freedom Fighters of Liberia (EFFL), Emmanuel Gonquoi, was received by the Chargé d'Affaires of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera. The Liberian delegation was also composed of Fatumata Massaquoi, General Secretary of the Women's Wing of the EFFL. On the Cuban side, the Second Secretary, Carmen Maury Toledo, also participated.
