Cuba and Austria strengthen cooperation between their Ministries of Justice

The delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Justice of Cuba, Ms. Rosabel Gamón Verde held a meeting at the Federal Ministry of Constitutional Affairs, Reforms, Deregulation and Justice with Dr.
Andreas Pollak, Director of International Relations and with Dr. Martin Schneider, Chief Information Officer of the said ministry, as part of the delegation´s working program in Austria. The willingness to continue developing the existing cooperation relations, through which the bilateral MoU signed between its Ministers, was successfully implemented in December 2015, under which the most significant actions related to the support and transfer of experiences from Austria to Cuba in the development of computerization systems for public registries was ratified at the meeting by both parties.

On 15 and 16 October, the First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Marcelino Medina González, completed an intense agenda of exchanges with authorities of the Commonwealth of Australia, as part of his official visit to this country.

On 15 October, Medina González chaired the meeting on Political Consultations held at the headquarters of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, based in Canberra capital city. The counterpart delegation was led by the Vice Minister for Europe and Latin America, Christopher Langman.

Cuba and Australia signed agreement on biotechnology

Melbourne, October 16, 2018.- Important day in the bilateral relations history between Cuba and Australia; after weeks of negotiations, both countries signed the first agreement on biotechnology to promote cooperation and scientific research in the sector. It comes to the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the AgriBio Science center, of the Australian state of Victoria, and the Cuban business group, BIOCUBAFARMA.
