Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. October 18, 2018. At the Government Palace of Mongolia the Hon. Mr. Ulziisaikhan Enkhtuvshin, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia, received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Raúl Delgado Concepción, in a meeting in which they reviewed the states of bilateral relations between both countries, as well as the possibilities to continue raising the level in them in the spheres of public health, education, culture and sports, and other opportunities for cooperation.

On October 17, more than 500 leaflets on the history of the US blockade against Cuba and its impact were distributed on the streets of several cities in Denmark. Likewise, copies of the letter of the Danish-Cuban Association of Friendship sent to the US President Donald Trump, calling for the end of that genocidal policy, were also disseminated.

Cuba participated as Special Guest in the majestic ceremony, organized by the Government of the South African province of Free State, one of the provinces with the best academic results in that African country. The Cuban delegation to the event was headed by Ambassador Rodolfo Benítez Verson.

Cuban Ambassador Rodolfo Benítez Verson held a meeting in the city of Bloemfontein with the Minister of Health of the South African province of Free State, which reviewed the current status and prospects of cooperation in the field of health.

This afternoon, the U.S. government called a press conference to slander Cuba in the UN’s Economic and Social Council hall. As the meeting concluded, a teleSUR correspondent stated, “This is the environment. The meeting is over. The hall almost empty. Very few of those invited by the U.S.”

The Ambassador Extraordinary Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba in the Republic of Turkmenistan, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, attended the reception of the National Day celebrated by the Embassy of this Central Asian nation in Baku and exchanged views with the Turkmen ambassador, Mekan Ishanguliyev, on bilateral relations.

Friendship and fraternity have always been in the relations between Cuba and Turkmenistan, said the Cuban diplomat to congratulate the Azerbaijani ambassador on the official reception to mark the 27th anniversary of the country's independence.

Port of Spain, October 17. - Invited by the faculty of International Relations of the University of the West Indies (UWI) and the professor of that center Jaquelin La Guardia, Cuban diplomats Ana Martínez Noris and Alex González García, commercial counselor and first secretary respectively, gave a lecture on the Cuban foreign trade and the obstacle represented by the policies of the US blockade against Cuba in the development of the economy of the largest of the Antilles.

Monrovia, October 17, 2018- On Wednesday afternoon, members of the management of the Liberian newspaper FrontPage Africa gave a warm welcome to their headquarters to the Chargá d'Affairs of Cuba, Yordenis Despaigne Vera. The communicators Alpha Daffae Senkpeni, the principal sub-editor and Alaskai Johnson, assistant sub-editor, conveyed a message of recognition and respect to Cuba.
