Cuba, on behalf of G77 and China, addressed the Economic and Social Council Coordination Segment Session on “Reflections on the Work of ECOSOC’s Subsidiaries bodies”. During his remarks, Ambassador Pedro Luis Pedroso Cuesta reffered to ECOSOC role toward coherent and coordinated actions to support all States in achieving Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Group 77 and China urges ECOSOC support to achieve Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals
On behalf of Group 77 and China, Cuba addressed the informative session of presidents of the General Assembly and the Economic and Social Council, the two UN main bodies to which the Charter grants the responsibility to promote international cooperation, in particular, in the economic and social spheres.
Cuban President ratifies priority of energy issue
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel ratified the priority given to the energy issues in his recently concluded international tour to African, Asian and European nations. Díaz-Canel attached to his message on this social network a link to the Presidency’s website, which published recent statements by the Minister of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O, after the return to the island of the government´s delegation, of which he was part.
