Pretoria, 9 June 2026. — The South African Medical Association (SAMA) and South African doctors who graduated in Cuba have expressed their unconditional support for the island in the current context. Cuba is grateful for these displays of principle, sensitivity and commitment to justice, public health and international cooperation.

During the cordial meeting, the parties highlighted the historic ties of friendship and cooperation that unite the governments and peoples of South Africa and Cuba.
