Cuba was invited to the Global South-South Development (GSSD) Expo 2018 of the United Nations.

New York, November 28, 2018. The Director of International Relations of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba (MINSAP,  Spanish abbreviation), Dr. Néstor Marimón, attended today the opening ceremony of the Global South-South Development (GSSD) Expo 2018 to be held at the United Nations between November 28 and 30.

Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba: The US State Department uses the granting of visas to affect diplomatic relations with Cuba.

During the past few months, the US State Department has been concocting a new pretext to affect bilateral diplomatic relations, associated to the granting of the diplomatic and official visas required by the staff of the respective embassies in Washington and Havana to perform their duties.  The maneuver consists in claiming that Cuba is hindering the granting of visas for designated officials at the US embassy in Cuba, which allegedly hinders the work of that diplomatic mission.

Ambassador exchanges about Fidel's legacy with members of the Solidarity with Cuba Movement

NIGERIA, November 27, 2018. In order to honor the memory of the invincible leader, a group of activists from the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba in the federal capital met to discuss the importance of putting Fidel's ideas into practice and of maintaining his legacy. The meeting was attended by the Cuban Ambassador who transferred the status of existing relations with Africa and the continuity of the thought of the historical leader in today's Cuba.

Tribute to the figure of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz in the second year of his departure

Toronto, November 25th, 2018.- Yesterday afternoon, members of the Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto, the Association of CubanResidents in this city "Juan Gualberto Gómez", as well as members of the solidarity group with Cuba, paid tribute to the figure of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz in the second year of his departure.

As part of the program, the renowned Cuban pianist based in Toronto Hilario Duran, delighted the audience with pieces of the Cuban pentagram. Gladys García, widow of Chilean friend Juan Carlos García, was also part of this tribute, declaiming "Homage to Fidel", a poem that her husband wrote after the death of the Commander in Chief.
