The Cuban government allocates a significant amount of financial and human resources annually to guarantee universal, equitable and free access to quality education for all Cubans. However, these efforts are directly affected by the effects of the US blockade against Cuba.

Cuban Ambassador denounces the damages of the blockade to the culture

Kuala Lumpur, October 20- In a radio interview on the occasion of the Day of Cuban Culture, Cuba's ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández denounced the effects of the blockade on the culture sector.

She explained about the inability of artists to receive money for their performances and at the same time as many, how many of them receive denials of travel to the United States in order to spread the cultural values of the island. Ambassador cited as an example the opportunities in which winners of important awards have not been able to attend the awards ceremonies.

Representatives of more than 100 Cuban civil society organizations demanded in Havana the cessation of the US blockade against Cuba, a few days before the General Assembly of the United Nations is to discuss a draft resolution on the need to end the obsolete Washington policy.
 
The XIV Forum brought together representatives of national and other regional and international organizations based in Cuba, who reaffirmed their willingness to fight against an economic fence that is a violation of international law.

Cuba and the Philippines explore possibilities to increase bilateral trade

Kuala Lumpur, October 19- Cuba's ambassador to the Philippines, Ibete Fernández Hernández, paid a courtesy call to the country's trade and investment Secretary, Ramón López.

During the meeting the ambassador presented the business opportunities in Cuba and addressed the main aspects of the process of updating the Cuban economy as well as the priorities of the development plan until 2030.
