Cuban president greets Pastors for Peace caravan

Havana, 19 July 2022. Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel greeted the arrival to the island from the United States of the 30th caravan of Pastors for Peace.

Welcome to #Cuba, dear brothers. Thank you for these thirty years of love, solidarity and accompaniment to our people in their hardest battles. End with the #Blockade! #CubaForPeace, the president wrote on his Twitter account.

Cuban president remembers Benito Juárez, “Benemérito de las Américas”

Havana, 18 July 2022. Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel remembered the Mexican lawyer and politician Benito Juárez, known as the "Benemérito de las Américas", on the ocassion of the 150 anniversary of his death.

Through his Twitter official account, the Cuban head of State said that 150 years after Benito Juárez´s death, Mexico and his president Andrés Manuel López Obrador honor his legacy “by honoring his doctrines”.

“Our thankful tribute to the Benemérito and his people”, he said.

Social networks, scene of subversive activity against Cuba

Havana, 18 July 2022. Social networks are today the scene of a new campaign against Cuba, with the purpose of causing destabilization of the country and overthrowing the revolutionary government of the island.

From these digital platforms, calls for civil disobedience are made with impunity, while news and information are distorted with the purpose of fracturing unity and breaking social peace.

A Code consistent with the development of the family

Havana, July 13, 2022. In the twenty-fifth, and latest, draft version of the Family Code, 47.93% of the content was modified, including the transitory and final provisions; and new elements were incorporated, representing 2.06%, reported the Minister of Justice Oscar Silvera Martinez.

US policy towards Cuba is counterproductive, says congressman

Washington, 13 July 2022. Today´s US policy towards Cuba is "wrong, counterproductive and stupid," said Jim McGovern (D-Mass) at a Boston town council hearing.

In the meeting, focused on a US blockade resolution, McGovern asserted this economic, commercial and financial blockade disproportionately impacts the Cuban families.
